Why price on employees instead of seats?
Because the value symbory creates scales with the number of people you're helping grow in their career, not with how many managers happen to log in. Seat-based pricing punishes you for involving more managers, which is exactly the behaviour we want to encourage.
Do candidates count towards my employee number?
No. Candidates, interviews, applications, and questionnaire sends are all unlimited on every plan. You're only counted on the employees you're actively supporting in Symbory.
What happens when I outgrow my plan?
You move to the next tier at the early-bird rate for that tier, so your discount follows you for the rest of your two-year term. No renegotiation, no upgrade penalty.
What if I run out of AI actions or transcription hours?
Nothing breaks. The platform keeps working and everything you've already got stays fully accessible. You just can't run new AI actions until you top up or move to a bigger plan. We'll flag it at 80% so it never arrives as a surprise mid-interview, and we never bill overage without asking you first.
How exactly do you count an action or an hour?
An action is counted when it finishes. If something fails, it doesn't count against you. Asking for a different version of a summary is a new action, because it's genuinely new work. Reading, searching and editing what the AI already produced is free and unlimited.
Transcription is counted by the minute of recorded audio and rounded to the nearest minute, with no minimum per recording. A twelve-minute one-on-one costs you twelve minutes, not half an hour. The summary that comes out of it is one AI action, counted separately.
Where is my data stored?
In Europe, on our own infrastructure. A Belgian company, hosted in the EU. Recordings are transcribed on our own servers and never leave our infrastructure. Our AI provider processes in its European region, receives only what a task needs, and never trains on your content. Full GDPR rights: access, correction, deletion.
What does the AI decide about my people?
Symbory helps people remember better. It does not decide for them. No automated employment decisions. No covert monitoring. No emotion recognition. No inferring protected characteristics. AI supports your team; humans remain responsible for every decision that affects someone's job.
Can I turn the AI off?
Yes, entirely or per person. Review anything it writes before it's saved, and delete it afterwards. Nothing is ever generated behind your back.
What about migrating from our current system?
You don't spend a weekend on it. We do the work. We handle the migration during onboarding, bringing over your candidates, their history, and the knowledge your team already has, so day one starts with everything you know. We've done it before.
